After Guy Kawasaki keynote at SugarCon 2012, I had the opportunity to discuss how to enchant your customers with Dr. Natalie Petouhoff, Chief Strategist & Evangelist, Brent Leary, Owner, CRM Essentials, and Larry Augustin, CEO of SuagrCRM and Guy Kawasaki.

Managing International CRM Projects

This is the presentation about managing international CRM projects from the lecture I gave at the CRM Evolution Conference. One of the key points I presented was the ability to have address and name formats within your CRM software. What this means? Then when you select the country for the contact, your CRM software will allow you to have the specific name, telephone and address attributes for the contact, prospect and account/company. This will allow you to improve your de-dup logic and have better data for customer segmentation.

Agile and Scrum could be an option to quickly implement you CRM software in different regions but you need to have a master plan, you need a strategy. And look at your best practices and compare them with the local requirements - US-centric best practices in processes and functionality do not translate into best practices in some regions.

How Iowa State University remembers me? A good example of managing the customer lifecycle

 
Wow! It has been twenty years since I graduated from college, and in January, I will celebrate 20 years of marriage. But let me tell you the rest of the story. I graduated from Iowa State University and met my wife in college. And from time to time I get emails from Iowa State to donate funds to the school for their alumni and students programs or to become an alumni member.

I want to point out 2 emails I got from Iowa State...

First email:

 
Very cool! They know about me and my wife, and that we met at Iowa State. I was very impressed with this fantastic email. I got this email 2 years ago. It brought fond memories of my college days and how I met my wife!

Second email:

 

Just got this email from them. Another emotional email. My 20 years of being an ISU alumnus! More memories. Another fantastic email! And it happens that ISU is everywhere in Facebook promoting alumni events and donations. And yes, I planning to buy some gifts and donate to the ISU Foundation.
